Looks very odd to English eyes. Van type fuel filler, inserted windows in load area with rubber mounts and no opening elements suggest van body as a base, but no roof ventilator. Clubman style front but exposed door hinges. Is this an Australian/New Zealand variant of some kind? |

The mini in the picture is a Australia built Morris Mini Clubman Estate, door handles, rear windows, and front are all stock items on the Australia models, the modern wheels and wheel Arches aren't. These are normal only found in Australia and New Zealand, but at least one has made it to the USA as it appeared on Youtube at one stage with US plates.About 1971 in the Australian market all Minis (including the commercial derivatives) gained the Clubman front. A similar customised mini was used in Rhombus's music video for their song 'Onward'. Hi All this is my mini that is shown here in the 2nd hand wedding movie, it is a 1978 australian clubman van,powered by a 1380 motor and runs 8.4 inch disk brakes and 13x6 superlite mags.all australian minis had external hinges and from 1963 they had 1/4 light windos and wind up windows also. i have had to put my beloved van up for sale.due to sick son so i need to free up cash. 2nd hand wedding was the highest grossing movie of 2008 in new zealand. if you want any more info on the car please let me know.ill try answer them for you. |
