I believe this is a Trolleybus called F3 https://www.sparvagssallskapet.se/vagnhallen/vagn.php?vagn_id=488 https://www.sparvagssallskapet.se/vagnhallen/typ.php?typ_id=463 . It was a collaboration between SS (AB Stockholms Spårvägar ENG ~ The Stockholm Tramways co), Scania-Vabis (chassis), ASEA (engine) and Hägglunds (body). 113 delivered during the years 1947-49. In short: a 1947-49 SS F3. -- Last edit: 2024-02-08 10:29:16 |

Thank you. My visits to Hägglunds were somewhat later than the date of that bus, and Hägglunds were concentrated entirely upon military equipment by then. There was some difficulty with designs and in the end the whole thing was resolved by the group chairman. The company had started as a manufacturer of furniture, and the visitors’ dining room was like a showroom if I remember correctly. Their chauffeur, who picked us up from the local airport in a stretched limo Volvo was dressed in black leather and wore tinted glasses, hopefully he took them off when driving at night. |
