Here's an ad for a 1906 2 1/2 Ton Commerce Motor Truck made by 'American Machine Manufacturing Company'. Apparently it used a 4 cylinder 4 cycle engine. Link to "www.worthpoint.com" (The ad to the right hand side) -- Last edit: 2024-01-17 11:08:56 |

Apparently one of the first cabover trucks ever made in America. The advertising for these and the thumbnail seem to be incorrect as these trucks were not produced until 1907, with the majority being made in 1908. Oddly, the make name for these trucks; "Commerce" shares no relation to the Commerce Motor Car Company of the same time period. Three models were made, the 2½ Ton, Model A, and Model C. The latter two only being made in 1908 apparently and being much larger in size. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Machine_Manufacturing_Company -> 1907 Commerce 2½ Ton |
