Maltese assembled? |

Good question. Malta did Bedford buses which I think were totally local bodies on imported bare chassis, so not a big step to do local bodied trucks. But this looks like a UK cab, so maybe an imported chassis-cab, with local load bed and attachment gizmo (is it a bin lorry??). But a fully-built import also possible. Made-in-M not justified (yet?) but Made-for-M seems a good holding tactic. It's a later cab with lollipops but no whiskers - sunbar for a date?? |

This seems to be the same one, but it doesn't have a crane. https://maltabuses.piwigo.com/picture?/8378/category/86-bedford Listed as "1980 Bedford TK570 Dropside". |

Agree probably same one. Mirrors look different from 1980-ish UK normal format - compare eg this 78 - bigger size, wider top and bottom brackets. |

Malta was THE holiday destination for old British truck buffs as it was full of older imported second hand British trucks. Flickr etc is full of Maltese truck albums and comments but I have never heard of any being assembled there. Although the Maltese were great at modifying and mixing and matching different truck parts. |
