No. Dawns don’t have a central driving lamp. It should be entered as a MkVI imo. /vehicle_700440-Rolls-Royce-Silver-Dawn.html -- Last edit: 2024-02-06 23:57:29 |

Several with central lamp are listed as R-Type, one among others: /vehicle_112889-Bentley-R-Type-1952.html |

All MkVIs and all R-types with Standard Steel Saloon bodies had the central driving lamp in the standard specification. It is totally impossible to tell if this car is one type or the other, and it should therefore be listed as a 1946 MkVI on the basis of earliest first. The main ways of telling one from the other are the length of the boot, which cannot accurately be seen, the number of exhaust pipes, and in some cars, the number of shutters in the radiator grille. There were three types of grille, type a used on early MkVIs, type b used on later MkVIs and early R-types, and type c used on late R-types. /vehicle_287326-Bentley-MkVI-1946.html -- Last edit: 2024-02-06 23:47:37 |
