1967 and 1968 Canadian brochures show no fullsize models below the Montclair: Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" If you wanted something less expensive you got a Meteor: Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" 1968 Rideau 500 had side trim we do not see here, but other than that... I personally don't see side marker lights. I think it's a 1967 Meteor (Rideau, Rideau 500, or Montcalm), but I'm not really sure. But if it is a Canadian market 1967-1968, it cannot be a Monterey. So few of these have survived (especially the basic four-door sedans) it's hard to get a good sample size to look at. |

I picked 1968 originally due to the apparent trim between the taillights, which the 1967 didn't have - when I still thought it was a Mercury. Could be a shadow, though. The sidemarkers are probably there, but hard to make out due to the resolution / distance - there is certainly something in the spot where they're supposed to be. It's probably a '68 Rideau due to the basic trim and steel wheels. If not, we could go for '67 Rideau, as suggested. EDIT: never mind, there are no sidemarkers. I looked at the film again. -- Last edit: 2024-02-19 21:43:53 |
