Could this be based on a Scammell Mechanical Horse / Scarab |

Did other countries make mechanical horses as well? Like OM or Pegaso? |

The design also made me think it could be Italian or Spanish, but unfortunately I couldn't find anything comparable. |

Found it, it's a later FAR CM62, based on the Scammell. Early versions were similar to the original, not sure what year these modernized versions were introduced. |

Well done! However, your link didn't work for me so I did a search. That made me somewhat bewildered about model names. This drawing should in theory tell all the models, but it's rather dizzy https://www.flickr.com/photos/14024074@N05/6289716971 . CM 70 like this https://cars-et-bus.fr/un-far-cm70-au-club ? Or CM 75 like this https://www.flickr.com/photos/xavnco2/26402102223 ? -- Last edit: 2024-02-27 10:14:04 |

IXO states 1953 for their FAR CM 75 SNCF which sounds pretty believable. It seems they have been updated with Saviem SG 2 cabin until 1972! |
