I think this is a Ford Cab-Over-Engine(COE) from about the same year. Pre-war GMC's had 8 holes in each wheel, this has five and the front fenders come back farther than on a GMC. |

1941-47 GM COE truck (see the cab vent and the headlamps, among other details). More precisely, a 1941-42 GMC CF-Series (CF-300 or CF-350) / Chevrolet Heavy Duty COE or a 1946-47 GMC EF-Series (EF-300 or EF-350?) / Chevrolet 5000 Series (5100, 5400 or 5700). A view of the lower grille would help to differentiate a Chevrolet from a GMC model: vertical bars for Chevrolet, horizontal for GMC. (GMC model used as default identification for this vehicle) |
