Is this Spain? Seems like some kind of road race or even a hill climb. |

in agreement with Antonio P @rqeologiamotor and the @RFEdeA yearbook it could be the Morcuera climb of 11 July 1969. ![]() Or it could also be the ascent to Canencia, on the same date. ![]() |

Juncadella had 1966 GT40 [AM GT-2] for a couple of years (possibly 69 & 70) under his "Escuderia Montjuich". "This was the second of a batch of five chassis picked up directly from Abbey Panels by Alan Mann. The first two (AM GT-1 and AM GT-2) were completed with the standard '289' engine and the other three (XGT-1, XGT-2 and XGT-3) were sent to Shelby for completion as Mk IIs. AM GT-2 was however by no means a regular GT40 as it featured aluminium body panels. Further weight was shed by the removing the sill covers altogether. Another distinct feature was the use of the brake-cooling scoops usually only seen on the larger engined Mk IIs." from here. Its previous owner - Paul Hawkins in 67-68 - seems to have been responsible for the odd bonnet hump seen in main - fitting it sometime during 68 |
