International Loadstar chassis. This makes this a 1962 at the earliest. Hmmm... who builds the body? I know its not a Carpenter or Superior, that leaves Blue Bird, Thomas, Ward, and Wayne. -- Last edit: 2008-08-30 05:53:22 |

The unmistakable, one and ugly, International Harvester Loadstar. Check out the DVD cover. They don't even have the same bus. Instead, they've got a 1973 or later GMC. http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1251712256/tt0082121 -- Last edit: 2008-08-30 15:14:34 |

The bus on the cover is a 1984-1991 GMC B-Series with a Thomas body. School buses didn't switch over to the fiberglass cowl until 1984, it wasn't even available as an option. For example, in 1977 or 78 my school district bought International Loadstar's (with Wayne bodies) with the fiberglass hood, and around 1982 they bought the next batch of school buses, GMCs (Ward bodies) they had the metal hood since the fiberglass wasn't an option. The result of that was they went back to both International and Wayne the next time in 1987 |

This bus in question has a Wayne body. I base this on that only Waynes had a well rounded rear end. |
