A camera for driving sequences? Pretty blatantly anachronistic though. |

It's a Notek blackout headlight. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phare_Notek https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackout_light -- Last edit: 2024-05-09 14:07:55 |

c1933 Audi Front UW 220 Saloon with blackedout headlamps and Tarnscheinwerfe or Kfz-Nachtmarschgerä lighting developed by Nova-Technik which illuminated 30-40m forward of the vehicle, at a width of 25m. No light could penetrate upwards or sideways through a cover which meant the vehicle could only be seen at less than 50m, and then only from a lying position. The device had an elliptical reflector which threw stronger light in the centre and weaker light at the edge. The brightness of the headlight could be altered by a three-position switch. Only one camouflage headlight was used per vehicle and would have been mounted on the front left of the vehicle. The rear of vehicle would have a 'distance light' having four separate horizontal rectangular coloured lights precisely positioned. This arrangement enabled the driver of the vehicle behind to judge the correct distance to the next vehicle in the column. |

I think rather Wanderer than Audi. |
