From IMDb's Goofs section: Anachronisms: Set in 1943, a 1946 Chrysler was shown as a military staff car. |

1946 Chrysler Royal ( C-38-S).It has an accessory gravel shield guard on the front fenders. This is indeed one of the best reminded car anachronism in movie history. |

Being in a British colony it might actually be a Windsor. Several of these found their way to British countries as official cars. Twenty one 1947 Windsors came to NZ after being originally intended for Ireland. |

I do not remember fine movie details since I last saw it in...1958 ! as a youngster.I think the point here is right or left hand drive. It it is a rhd it indeed may be a Windsor originating from the Canadian or UK Kew factory and intended for the Commonwealth. If it is a lhd it may be different. It certainly is one of the lower lines Royal or Windsor.I still remember my brother having left the movies saying : " Did you notice that Chrysler it wasn't even built in 1943" |

I watch the film today and the Chrysler is LHD, so I assume a Royal. -- Last edit: 2009-11-22 04:08:15 |
