6-cylinder cars were more common in Lebanon. I was going to mark it as (by default) but IIRC you're not in favour of this. Another thing I've noticed about these Studebakers is that Champions had a single exhaust on the right side while Commanders and Presidents had dual exhausts. There's something sticking down on the left side but it looks like part of the suspension to me, which is why I left it as Champion. |

Well, we can't rely on that. My '57 Commander, in the family since new, has always had just a single exhaust on the right side. I believe this feature was apparently optional, but possibly standard on Presidents. (That's a feature I've not seen mentioned in the literature I have.) |
