I think this might be an error actually. I was basing this off of Spec Sheets for the time. First is the later Ford Aeromax, where the design for the 1st Generation Sterling A-Line was inherited from. This for the 1997 MY. Next we have the 1st Generation A-Line, which had this design for the 1998-2000 MY. Same as the original 1997 Ford Aeromax, but with Sterling badges instead of Ford ones. The third is a 2000 Spec Sheet for the 2001+ MY. Which has the facelifted hood featured here. - It should be noted that sometimes the hoods on trucks are swapped if they go in for repairs for servicing, or if if they get involved in a wreck. An example is this Freightliner FLD my local dairy farm owns: It was wrecked not long after I took the first photo, and the second photo shows it with a 1997+ hood, despite originally being a 1989-1996 model. Hope that makes sense. |
