L suffix plate = Aug 72 to July 73. There were 4 Moskvitch 412s in 1972 RAC, including #131, #137, and #143. Crews were Wenche Knudtzen/Eidis Huseby, Tony Lanfranchi/John McKerrell, Nicholas Price/Antoine Lurot, and David Hood/John Grant. But no list found of who drove which number. |

Update: #114 Knudtzen DA36656 (unknown nationality) - photo here #131 Lanfranchi HPC 14K, finished 67th - photo here #137 Price (was US driver, Lurot was French) #143 Hood The 3 other entries apart from Knudtzen were by UK-based SATRA. Lanfranchi won BARC and BRDC/BRSCC saloon car championships in 1972-73 with SATRA-entered Moskvitches. Then rules were changed to engine capacity classes instead of price bands so Lanfranchi moved on and SATRA switched to Ladas. |
