Agree. |

Should AWD be added to the name? |
◊ 2008-09-10 09:36 |
Just part of the trim level. |

Weren't they all AWD? |

At least not in Europe. |

I thought that one of Subaru's distinctive features was that they were putting AWD on all their cars |

4WD I think you'll find. -- Last edit: 2008-09-11 13:27:43 |

AWD=4WD, no? |

On Volvo, AWD means FWD where the rear wheels help if the front ones start to spin, maybe it's the same story here? |

Doesn't matter, the cars say 4WD. It's a 4 not an A. |

...and it's a 1989-94 model. 4WD means it can only be a GL. (2WD = DL) 1989 Subaru Justy GL. -- Last edit: 2008-09-11 19:22:48 |

Not only GL. In case of US face-lifed model, 4WD was avialable first in the short lived 1989 "Justy RS". Till 1991 it was the only Justy with body colored bumpers, but it was to buy only in white and black (at least in the US) and it also had thin red strips on the sides, so what we have here will be indeed GL 4WD, but 1991+ model (also due to its 5-door body). For all US Justies (at least of the 2nd series) we can set J12 code. BTW. There were also FWD only GL's. GL/DL was not related with type of drive. -- Last edit: 2012-03-15 02:19:35 |
