Production started in 1962; this one is C-reg, makes it 1965. |

This car is exactly the same as the one used in the episode of The Champions called 'Twelve Hours in 1967 (transmitted in 1968): /vehicle_40452-Volga-M-22-1965.html The registration numbers are identical, thanks to this very clear picture. What the Volga was doing as a background vehicle in Thunderball is beyond me! Also, why is it parked half on the verge? Obviously some of the clinic staff were not too good at reversing! The parking of the car most certainly have something to do with the ´57 Ford driveaway, so it was easy to just turn right for it. The Volga is perhaps a crew members car, it does not fit in with the rest of the cars, being less exclusive /vehicle_19065-Jaguar-E-Type-1965.html |

Strange how it is backed up onto the grass, while the other cars are neatly reversed toward the concrete edge. |
