Wouldn't be better to list it as Simca make? (the Murena was listed under Talbot make with Matra in the model name, but we can change it...) |

i don't know how or by what name you know this car in France/Belgium ...but in the UK it was Matra Simca bagheera.! (..Also ..I believe my diecast toy car by Majorette -France ..has it as Matra Simca bagheera.!) ![]() |

The Majorette info are not always accurate ![]() "Matra Simca" as make seems well used on Internet so I guess it is correct. For the Murena it seems less easy. Four makes are used (Matra, Matra Talbot, Talbot Matra, Talbot) |

The Bagheera was, until the last model year (1980), known as the Matra-Simca Bagheera. It was designed and built by MATRA. Simca was Matra's commercial partner at the time and supplied engines, running gear etc. but the car was most certainly a Matra. Simca was purchsed by PSA in 1978/79. The Simca name was dropped by PSA and the Talbot marque was revived by them. The last few hundred Bagheeras and all Murenas were badged Talbot-Matra. |
