Looks to be a 1959 Lincoln Continental. Behind is a 1960 Ford. |

It must be a 1958 with that front and looks more like a landau or premiere than a continental. |

I agree. Not sure which Lincoln model though. -- Last edit: 2008-09-21 06:16:16 |

I see some kind of insignia below the tailfins. |

I saw that too, it could be the premiere emblem but i'm not sure |

You might be right, it could be a capri but is it even possible to point out on this picture, Capri?, Premiere? I can't make out that emblem below the fin but i'm more than 100 percent sure about it being a 1958, I have a 59 Lincoln myself and the frontbumper looks completely different. -- Last edit: 2008-09-23 04:40:04 |

I'm 100% sure it's a 58 model. |

I am calling it a '58 Capri. Hood ornament is round, not the star-shaped Continental one. Badges on the rear fenders are in block lettering only on the Premier. '58 Continental badges were on the front fenders. Compare the limited view of the rear badge on the Back to School car with the driver's side profile (second column, second image from top) of this car for sale: http://www.oldride.com/classic_cars/406686.html Here is the Premier badge: http://www.sda1.com/timfiles/images/PIC00023.gif -- Last edit: 2008-12-22 23:59:20 |
