For the record, I've at last solved a trivial puzzle about the Sept 66 side trim - listings for FCs say it was thinner chrome for this final year, which for VX4/90s I thought referred to the side flash and was puzzled why this change is not really apparent on our examples. Explanation - it is correct for all FCs, but refers to the chrome edging on the bodyside contour, which as here is thicker than the more delicate trim after Sept 66. But it's a very subtle difference ... and not obvious enough to rely on. The VX4/90 side flash is unchanged before/after.
