Which as a total tangent means there are lots of drivers for whom traffic lights are problematic - one chum of mine from a Scottish island only discovered he was colour blind at the age of 20 when he encountered his first traffic light in the big city of Aberdeen). AOM 518 doesn't appear in the TV series but is significant for the All Creatures etc story as it's the actual car used by Yorkshire vet Alf White around his practice in Thirsk, where he wrote the books of his adventures under the pseudonym "James Herriot".
