Nothing turned up for CMB 2F, but it was a Cheshire plate, Feb 68. But stumbled on CMB 19F, which was used for a fashion shoot in June 68 "Jensen Interceptor chassis 115/2796 was a demonstrator for Wilmslow Garages, Wilmslow, Cheshire. Specification was white paint, with black leather trim, fitted with engine number 893 015B. No options were requested, apart from power steering, which didn’t come as standard at that time. It was completed at the factory on 25 March 1968." So in the absence of anything else, we can probably guess which dealer supplied CMB 2F. There is a JOC register of known Interceptor Mk1s which has been very useful in the past for discovering chassis numbers, but no obvious sign of CMB 2F; there was also a pot-luck forum for entering plate numbers, but can't find it now - possibly disappeared?? |
