I think I agree no Santana on badge, and I've no trace for Santana building 88" short cabs - doesn't mean they didn't, just that I can't find any. So seems UK build, probably S2a for thick sills, but has late 70s+ door mirrors, strange perforated wheels and oddly positioned front indicators, so it's been tweaked. Santana started building 88s as CKD kits in 58 until proper builds started in 61, so window for UK-build imports to Spain of early S2/S2a not obvious - maybe filming not actually Spain, but somewhere nearby which later became Santana market such as Morocco?? Or it's a Gibraltar ex-army refugee which might explain the unusual sidelights?? |
