![]() Driven by Guy (or Franz, depending on the source) Deladriere (B) : http://www.webcarstory.com/champ.php?ch=415&resultats=2 I'm finding no information about this one other than the fact that it raced in the prototype category and finished 9th. Referred to as 'Proto Euromarche' : https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rallye_Dakar_1988#Autos[2] What chassis, engine or other components did it borrow from? -- Last edit: 2025-02-08 13:23:18 |

It's called Rover 4x4 here: https://www.vectis.co.uk/104-lot-86506 I recognize the head lights all to well but can't figure out from where. I don't think it's just something generic and it's not Manta B nor Volvo F10/F12. Annoying... -- Last edit: 2025-02-08 14:20:21 |

Here's an article in French with another picture, but I'm not sure it sheds any more light: https://i.imgur.com/F8LrBoY.jpeg And a picture of the rear: https://i.imgur.com/MEH9Zu4.png (from https://www.wallapop.com/item/parigi-dakar-1988-992574056 ) The model linked by atom has a fastback body, but the 1988 version was squarer. A Facebook post with several pictures of Deladrière's Dakar vehicles from 1985, 1986, 1987, and 1988: Link to "www.facebook.com" 1985's version had the fastback body and a prominent Land Rover logo. 1986 Dakar, fastback body, no Land Rover logo, ended with the car upside down and thoroughly wrecked. 1987 Dakar, fastback body, same FVA179 registration as the 1988: Some suggestion it's based on a Rover SD1? The square 1988 version: https://i.imgur.com/HmQ3ILg.jpeg -- Last edit: 2025-02-08 22:50:13 |
