More likely either 1975 or 1976. |

It’s a 1980 specific production model. The front end has three-row, eleven-column grille work with a total of 33 mesh openings. The Chevrolet bowtie occupies the sixth (center) column at the second (center) row. The grille itself (real polished aluminium) incases the lower front turn signals and incorporates a lower front valance which "connects" the left and right headlamp bezels. The fully independent front suspension (IFS) means the truck is rear-wheel-drive only. The massive lower control arms are very visible. The Crew Cab secludes the truck to being either a 20 series (medium duty) or 30 series (heavy duty) Having said that (well, wrote that) I feel the truck could very well be a 30 series due to the large axle hubs of the real axle, as seen in the third thumbnail capture. A Bonus Cab was available, basically a four door Crew Cab with the second row seats deleted for extra storage. Although I don’t think this one is a Bonus Cab. -- Last edit: 2010-08-25 21:47:59 |
