Probably 1953, the web page here: Link to "www.barchetta.cc" says, that the 625 were driven by Mike Hawthorn, and that driver behind the wheel really looks like him. |

Mike Hawthorn/Azelio Cappi in Mille Miglia 1953 all right, but the car is a 250 MM (Vignale Spider). They are followed by Bruno Sterzi/Giulio Rovelli in another 250 MM (Pininfarina Coupe) and Alberico Cacciari/R.H.B. Mason in a 166 MM (Ferrari-Autodromo Spider). #608 is Tom Cole's 340 MM (Vignale Spider) - same bodystyle but different mechanicals compared to Hawthorn's car. I think Hawthorn got his ride from Bobbie Baird, who was an Irishman. |
