Ddey65 ◊ 2008-11-06 15:04	They had this lettering on the AMC Jeep's of the early-1970s too. Unless it has an extended wheelbase and body, it's a CJ-5.

4x4peru ◊ 2014-07-07 20:03	CJ5 is correct. It is between 1972-1974 because of these key features: The longer front fenders & hood make it 1972+ (changed from v6 to I6 & v8). The external wiper motor makes it 1972-75 (the wiper motor was moved inside and windshield shape changed in 1976+). The JEEP lettering on the cowl side is in this "high" position until 1974. In 1975+ the JEEP lettering was moved down a few inches. This CJ5 w/ external wiper & high JEEP logo is 1972-74.
