Wrong. It is a 1988 Oldsmobile Delta 88 |

I agree, it's the Oldsmobile. -- Last edit: 2006-01-28 11:01:19 |

It's a Delta 88 because the wheel wells are rounder on the Delta 88. The LeSabre has a more roundish-square look to the wheel wells. |

There is no Royale nameplate on door and There's a red square ornament on the hood that says Royale. |

Wait, I take it back there is no Delta 88 with no Royale nameplate on the door. It's an 1989 88 Royale not Delta 88 www.cardomain.com/ride/2316935 -- Last edit: 2006-09-07 03:04:58 |

Has the "passive front safety belts". Was '88 or '89 the first model year for these? |

Not sure this is an '89. He has the same car in the original movie. |
◊ 2019-06-24 01:12 |
i don't think it was a red one in the 1st movie |

It's not the same car, that car was black. It's the same make and general model, but as pointed out above, that "Royale" badge on the door was new for 1989, and when they dropped the "Delta" from the name. |
