The back up lights over here are mounted on the same place, as the original VW ones (optional for extra charge), but obviously they are replaced ones (no rounded edges, no chrome around). |

The back up lights were often omitted on basic models. The owner would then later fit them, as here. Some cars didn't have a slot in the gearbox for the switch, an option was to fit an adapter onto the speedometer cable. The back up lights would then be lit after one to two meters in reverse.... |
