Should be "Made for GB" as it's an altered right hand drive version. |

Did AMC make any RHD Pacers, or was this one converted later? |

They were having an ultimate car olympics. The car only got about 4.36 or something. I think they purposley made it lost so Britian would win. There car got about 10.86 or something first and all the other cars were low 6's. And Richard barely gave it any throttle but he gave the British car Hell. |

Where do you get the information on the registration? I found 2 cars with very clear plates on google Street view in Britain.I dont know what they are and would like to check the plates to find out the year and kind of car. |

Go to the links page and look under licence plate information. But pictures of cars can help to identify them too. ![]() |

Thanks. My international travel experience is limited so I go through neighborhoods on street view to see international scenery and what cars are common in other countries.I have in fact used this site to identify cars seen on street views in the past.Ive identified several cars in Taiwan this way. |

Thirty odd years for now we will all be mocking those poor saps in 2011 with their Ford Focuses and Vauxhall Insignias. |

Please can we have some sense of proportion here. Maggie Thatcher was a nasty, ugly beast from the 70s. |

actually, the results were different: 1st. Russia (Lada Riva Estate) with 10.85m 2nd. Czech Republic (Skoda Favorit Estate) with 9.29m 3rd. Great Britain (Austin Maestro) with 8.34m 4th. France (Citroen 2CV) with 7.78m 5th. USA (AMC Pacer) with 6.20m Also Richard wasn't driving the cars. -- Last edit: 2012-10-30 10:41:31 |

Fat, ugly, American and useless. Just like Rosie O'Donnell. |

the Pacer was originally going to be fitted with a modern rotary unit, but a sudden hasty change in plans led for the rotary unit to be replace by an old and thirsty six-cylinder. but none of that matters. i think the AMC Pacer is one of my most favourite cars! despite the criticisms |

Somehow a Citroen 2CV of all things performed better than this. |
