Pontiac Trans Sport you mean. The Chevrolet was called Venture.

In European marque, they usually call Chevrolet Trans Sport.

However I am not sure if this the one. I can't see the rest of the body, it is too dark for a positive ID.

Being European i'd say it is the one sold here, therefore Chevrolet Trans Sport.

We also got Pontiac Trans Sport, at least in Belgium (but maybe only for earlier models)

Yes we did have the Pontiac, but as you say it was for the first generation ;)

Yes, only the earlier european Pontiac Trans Sports were "real" Pontiacs. Because from 1992, we got a restyled Trans Sport, which was really a rebadged Oldsmobile Silhouette without black sticker stripes. And it came with a 4-cylinder engine.

And when the second gen. arrived for 1997, we got the Pontiac Trans Sport version... with Chevrolet badges. It sums up how GM was focused on selling its US products in the european markets...

Shame I can’t read the plate. Would love to decode this VIN.

Terra ran with that code. I never verified it was accurate then it was mass updated. Not sure of it’s accuracy.

By this http://www3.sympatico.ca/tedkrygier/future.htm it seems right, or?

Ah it was GMT199 that was inaccurate. Mixed them up.

So, would be better [T200] or [GMX110]?

dhill_cb7 US

2021-03-01 22:24

[GMX110] as they are GM derived. That is the preface lift ones. These face lifted ones are fine.

Bux_48 IT

2021-03-01 22:32

Understood ;)

Baube QC

2021-03-01 22:33

so.. if the list is accurate we have to run to all 1997-2000 ones and change it ?

Bux_48 IT

2021-03-01 22:36

And also the Sintra I believe, since they were on pre-facelift platform..
