It's an FSO Caro, not a Polonez. Caro was the UK name for this. I did laugh when this appeared and was disposed of so quickly, but I couldn't help but feel just a little bit of sympathy for the poor FSO. There's gotta be even LESS (right hand drive examples) of those on UK roads nowadays than Morris Marinas. I don't even have any memory of seeing a single one this century. They must have searched long and hard to find this, only to destroy it. |

This is indeed a car of the "Caro generation", but was this name really used on the pickups? They had big "Truck" lettering on the back (here the entire box is missing so we can't see). So maybe "Caro Truck"? In home all of them were Polonezes and as Caro were known only the hatchbacks. -- Last edit: 2008-12-09 18:03:31 |
