1970's 26' Chieftain, comments? |

It's a '70's Winnebago. No doubt about that. |

I believe this is an "Indian" rather than a "Chieftain." The green "W" seems to indicate that from the examples I've seen. 1975 Indians have two-tone green, so I believe this to be and example from the early '70s, as it only has one shade used for the "W" and lower trim. -- Last edit: 2009-03-14 05:57:58 |

Yes I agree. this is an indian. big mess up like the way they called the brave in the independence day movie a cheiftan. i commeted on that one as well. please look. probly 75 or a 74 indian. the green gives it away. |

I retract my earlier statement, although it is most certainly an "Indian." I see that it does have 2 shades of green on it, as well as white headlight bezels. It's most likely a 1974, but there is a possibility of it being a 1975 as well. You have one of your own, Winne? I absolutely love these things. ![]() Believe it or not, I dragged my girlfriend to this movie the night it came out just to see this Winnie after spotting it in the movie trailer! -- Last edit: 2009-07-20 04:29:48 |
