Camarofan-There was one completed yesterday, called "Kinatay".
Also,look for movies featuring Jeepneys.
My fiancee will be moving here soon from Mindinao.I try to follow the automotive "scene" in that country from this site and classified ads sites, but most of it seems to be from Manila.
It saddens me that we cannot import cars into this country from there.I'd love to have a box-type Lancer. But our emissions-obssessed government will never allow it.I also found out if i moved there, i cant take my '74 Gremlin because of age restrictions for imports.Car enthusiasts always suffer at the hands of repressive governments. :(

The Country Buggy was Australian designed and built. The Phillipines was one of the markets they were exported to.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Country_Buggy
From Wikipedia "The Country Buggy started production in July 1967, with exports to the Philippines, Singapore, New Zealand & some other small Pacific nations.

The Philippine Country Buggies were marketed as the "Sakbayan", a portmanteau of the Tagalog words "Sasakyan" (Vehicle) and "Bayan" (Nation or Country). In the Pam Grier film Black Mama, White Mama, several Country Buggies were seen as police vehicles. These were in fact the Sakbayans, as the filming location took place in the Philippines."
