Er ... not a Sunbeam/Hillman Avenger? |

ONce I'd written Marina, I started hesitating... Guess you're right, Chris What will the name of it have been in Portugal ? Sunbeam 1250 TC Estate ? |

Frankly, I don't know, but I think that apart from France it might have been marketed as Sunbeam Avenger. Even in Europe it came with four different engine sizes (1250, 1300, 1500, 1600) so it might be safest to call it a Sunbeam Avenger estate. |

The name Avenger was not used here as well. The saloons were sold as Sunbeam 1250, 1300, 1500 and 1600, but I have to check what estate versions were sold in Portugal. |

The estate was sold from late 1976 as Sunbeam 1300 Station. |

The name 'Station' makes it 'made for Portugal'... -- Last edit: 2008-12-30 23:30:08 |
