Sadly, it gets destroyed. Too bad, it was in pristine condition. |

I have heavy doubts, that it was a real 450 SEL. Yes, it has the badge, but the back doors are too short for a SEL. So it's just a SE. Perhaps a 280 or 350. And I have doubs, that it was in pristine condition either. The panel under the back bumper was bended and obviously repainted. The chrome-trim under the doors is missing, the front fender seems not fitting like original. Also the painting is too glossy IMHO. I say, it was a 280 SE-wreck, which was "pimped" a bit and disguised as a 450 SEL. |

In this moment swithed to a prepared wreck with loosened doors and hoods. |

Strange - the wreck prepared to go bang (bolt thrower under the engine, detonation cables and ingo's loosened panels) has an exhaust, but the pics with the model car approaching it (presumably therefore the "good" car which survives undamaged) have no exhaust. |

And the boom-Benz hasn't the original BBS-Barock-alloys any more, just some glossy-chromated no name-stuff. And other tires, too. Otherwise: on some pics the alloys are looking BBS-ish. But not really authentic. -- Last edit: 2013-02-15 21:17:07 |

The car is certainly a 280. In the scene where Dirty Harry and his Chinese partner are inspecting the car after the explosion, you can clearly see that the car has an M110 engine: |
