I am sorry, but this is not a Rolls-Royce. It's a fake! This car is a Austin Princess Vandeplas Limousine |

Probably, I am not too familiar with them, but I do remember one who was selling these cars in the early 1970's to people not being able to distinguish any make from an other ;-). He fitted a selfmade Rolls-Grill to the cars and sold them as a Rolls-Royce Phantom... |

Yes, as it did once many buyers, thinking they are having a Rolls but had got only an Austin made car... :-) |

It is the 'Vanden Plas Princess 4-litre Limousine' (1960-68) with modified grille. Event today some people try to sell such cars as made by RR! http://www.spicersclassiccars.com/58austin.htm |

I thought it was pratically a crime for a non-Rolls-Royce the possess the grille, badge and statue of Rolls-Royce? |

Certainly a copyright infringement and today it would be a problem with the MOT (certainly in Germany!). |
