Same truck as here: /vehicle_5148-Peterbilt-281-1955.html (stock footage?) The Duel page says 1955 Peterbilt 281, I guess there was alot of arguing over what it was when the movie was first listed. |

Well according to comments made there, that truck was indeed a 351 but was not in Duel |

Pokeoddsponge, There were if what you count there were 4 Duel Trucks the first truck was a 1955 Peterbilt 281 this truck was crashed when it went off the cliff in Duel This truck is long gone now the second Truck was a 1960 Peterbilt 281 This now owned by Dan Bruno this truck was never in the movie The Third Truck was a 1964 Peterbilt 351 This truck was used in Push Push, Rail Road & Gas Attendit Scenes this truck blew up in another movie and is also now long gone If you count it the 4th Truck which is this truck the 1962 Peterbilt 351 this truck was in this episdoe this truck is now in Universal Lots in poor condition in a Ware house in Universal Studio's 351- means Tandem Axle Like Truck 3 & 4 281- means single axle or tag along axle like truck 1 & 2 the 55 & the 60 had Tag along axles You can get more info on the 62 the 4th truck on my link below -- dead link removed -- Last edit: 2024-12-10 17:02:21 (antp) |

This episode does use footage from Duel, so this Peterbilt was made to look like that one. The Hulk truck has a different tanker, that sits higher above the cab.
