By the full chrome trim this is a 300 SE [W112]; only 5202 of these were built. US indicators, but RHD: made for J. |

I agree with 300 SE - W 112, but how to be sure about the year? I have a W 111 with same light arrangement made in 64. I believe that this headlights appeared in 60/61, without the separate indicator/position light. At that time, the main headlight incorporated two small triangles between the sealed beams. The exterior triangle was used to indicators and the inner ones were to position light. For me it is very difficult to say when this separated lights were introduced (and then these triangles have no more bulbs), but it would be around 62/63. -- Last edit: 2009-01-23 17:58:10 |

The 300 SE was built from August 1961 till July 1965, so model year 1962 would be the first possible. But it's true that those separate indicators might be a bit newer, I don't know. |

Might be very simply Japanese specifications and not question of model year.. |
