That really bites that that car is in a junkyard. And going by the taillights, it's a 71 Charger R/T model. Those taillights are unique to the 71 R/Ts. |

The rear lights were used on the R/Ts, but also the 1971 Charger 500 (you dumb-dumb) |

I have never seen a "500" with those lights, not that I couldn't be mistaken, but I believe the 71 Charger 500 used the same taillights as the base Charger and the 71 Super Bee, as the 500 was nothing but an options package in 1971...not that they couldn't have been put on there... |

All 1971 Charger 500s shared the same tail lights as the Charger R/T. Your very stupid and not a real "moparguy". Look at any picture of a 1971 charger 500. Your dumbness is overwelming me. |

bwindy: If you weren't so rude, maybe someone would actually be paying attention. Everyone knows something that others don't, so don't act like you're of superior intellect just because you know some obscure fact about 1971 Dodge Charger taillights that another user doesn't. And for the record, the "louvered" taillights were standard on the 500 and R/T, and optional on all other 1971 Chargers via the A54 "colored bumper" group. |

There seems to be a little bit of confusion here. So this is the poop on the tail lights. The 71 R/T and 500 both used this tail lights. This is the ONLY lights on both models. The SuperBee's with the painted bumper option also used this light. The original plan on the SuperBee was to use the standard light and the dealer broshure shows it with the painted bumper but they changed at the last minute and went with the R/T lights. The 72 Charger Rallye's also used the 71 R/T lights 73's and 74's never used this light. So there you go. I ordered a 71 Charger SE on Feb 28, 71 and still have it today. |
