Ambulance body is by Victorian company Bodycraft which was usually used in Victoria and by the RAAF for their ambulance. NSWAS had a policy to only buy there bodies from NSW companies.

Bodycraft was still in business back then? :wow: I didn't know and thought they already folded during the 1960s. Anyway, it seems like they were specialized in Ford conversions.

Bodycraft continued into the early 1980's building ambulances as far as I know. They were located in Geelong Victoria near the Ford assembly plant, so they had a very good working relationship with Ford, and specialised in conversions of Ford vehicles.

That's because they made their own bed/body.
