This is a 1950 half-ton GMC pickup, not a 47 or 48. A similar Chevrolet version of this truck was also used in production (for cab interior shots), but ended up on the cutting room floor. -- Last edit: 2009-12-06 18:49:14 |

With such a view, and if I'm not mistaken, there is no clue to say more than a 1947-50 model of the GMC New Design trucks line (it doesn't have the 1951+ vent window). Without the 2nd vertical reinforcement bar in front of the rear wheel arch, so this is the 116" / 2.95 m wheelbase of the ½-ton model indeed.
