If it is a Mahindra, it is simply called Mahindra Jeep. They started to build the CJ3B from CKD kits, later shifted to license product the entire vehicle themselves, after production had ceased in the US. The CJ3B was built around the world by a plethora of manufacturers, including Mitsubishi(!), Viasa (later Ebro) in Spain and, believe it or not, Steyr Puch in Austria. The 'Jeepney' Taxis in the Philippines are also based on this model. |

Yeah they were called Mahindra Jeep only long back. CJ500 or something. But US company objected to use word Jeep. so now they have long list of models, commander, marshal, max, CL, XDP, DP.......... with same engine. 2.4L DI, 2.6L DI, 2.6L IDI etc.. |
