M-113 based movie prop, made to look like a BMP-1. |

This one is not a FMC M113. The M113 has a bigger hull and the wheels are evenly spread. |

Good catch on the unevenly-spaced wheels. Another possiblity is the Greek Kentaurus APC, which is very similar to an M-113, but is lower, and it has a low turret. |

... but six wheels ![]() http://naoruzanje.paracin.co.yu/kentaurus3.jpg I think it is a genuine Soviet tank. But so far I cannot name it. ![]() |

It could possibly be the Soviet BTR-D. The BTR is an airmobile variant of the BMP and the D, which appeared in Afghanistan, is a turretless version. The only info I have found on it is here: http://www.aeronautics.ru/archive/armored_vehicles/bmd-1.htm. Hope this helps. -- Last edit: 2006-06-24 03:17:14 |

This APC is definately a Norinco YW531 (otherwise known as a Type 63): http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/china/type-63-pics.htm |
