Wow... That's a [P70] LWB taxi model painted as a police car! -- Last edit: 2009-02-11 23:48:21 |

I saw this movie last summer so I forgot this car's details. But it would have to be a 2002 at the earliest. |

But why an ex-taxi? I mean ex-police cars are often taxis but never an ex-taxi a police car! |

On second thought, this doesn't look like an LWB. The length doesn't seem to match up and I remember that when I saw the movie it looked like the regular base model. And filming locations are shown as in Europe, making the acquisition of an LWB quite difficult. Also, it has black trim under the headlights, which if it was an LWB, it would have to be a 2005 at the earliest (unlikely that they would use such a recent taxi which at the time of filming would have still been fairly new on the streets of NY). So a 2001+ model. -- Last edit: 2009-02-12 00:46:11 |

Come on Ford guy, look at the back door! That's not a regular wheelase CV. |

Perhaps the LWB was used to allow more area for the stuntman/dummy (?) to contact the roof. |

or, possibly more cheaper than getting an actual ex police car |

Ok, I do have to admit that I made a mistake with my assumption earlier. This is an LWB model, I suppose my eyes were deceiving me a bit It's at least a 2002 model. And as for it being an LWB used as a police car, well maybe thats all they found, or it was more convenient for them for whatever reason. |
