I've seen some buses on here that I think are Twin Coaches which are still listed as unknown. |

Hi all, new guy here. I'd like to add the following info which I've found in Buster's autobiography and various websites: According to Buster it was built by Pullman Car & Manufacturing in approximately 1930 and cost $50,000! This was built for the president of a railroad who died 18 months after taking delivery. It was then sold by his widow to Buster for $10,000 Buster also stated that the chassis was a Fifth Ave Coach and had twin motors but this seems to be incorrect as it clearly appears to be a Twin Coach and his mention of the dual motors cinches it. I suspect that it was built by Twin Coach and *customized* by Pullman with them adding the interior and observation railing on the rear. If one looks closely at the pic I've included you can match up many items to the first photo in this thread (headlights, window visors, bumper, luggage on roof, rolled up awning on side above windows, flag stanchions(?) on roof corners, side rub strips, etc). This is the only photo showing the front that I've found on the web, hopefully others can contribute some more. I can't find any info on whatever happened to it and if anyone knows I'd greatly appreciate them sharing it! Here's the website where I found the photo, click to enlarge Link to "4.bp.blogspot.com" -- Last edit: 2014-07-18 04:34:56 |

A few more pix. Check out the young Jimmy Durante! The other chap is Lew Cody, a friend and fellow adventurer of Buster's. The 2 kids are his sons. |
