This is the episode where Aunt Bee buys this car and learns to drive. From here on out this is her car. |

Even though you can see the Fordomatic emblem on the trunk, she drives it like it has a standard transmission. |

We saw a lot more of this one during the show's final season, including this rare shot of the car with its top up:![]() ...and a taillight shot from ep. 6.21. ![]() |

Aunt Bee bought this car from Goober. He was also the one who taught her to drive. |

In the first episode where it appears, Aunt Bee has a fender bender. In a later episode where she is driving Opie to a friend's house for a play date, the fender damage is still evident. It's on the passenger side, rear. |

It is believed, in this scene, the actress Francis Bavier (Aunt Bee) is not the driver, but a stunt driver. This is probably the reason for the elaborate head gear. George Lindsey (Goober) is the passenger. |

When she damages the fender, she even mentions not stepping on the clutch |

Is this car still around? If so who owns it? |
