Okay, this isn't a Ford. It's a Pierce. I know the logo on the grille looks similar, but it's not a Ford. Note the logo on the company's website: http://www.piercemfg.com/index.cfm |

I don't think its a Ford or Pierce. I brightened the image a lot so the logo is more visible:![]() The logo is more like a Luverne. See: http://www.bensware.com/firetrucks/spotting/LuverneFront2.jpg -- Last edit: 2006-02-19 23:49:37 |

By the way, the referenced site is helpful for fire truck identification. http://www.bensware.com/firetrucks/spotting/ |

Hey, wrenchhead, that's a good site. Although I didn't see the blue logo for this one: /vehicle_22416-unknown.html ...which looks like one shape on top of another. |

Strange, I can't find anything that looks like the logo you referenced. [edit] I spoke too soon, I found it and feel a little dumb. Googled 'chicago fire trucks' and it popped right up. -- Last edit: 2006-02-20 02:40:21 |

Interestingly, the truck in this pic is different from the other two. This pic is from a Ford C-Series. |

I found a big picture that shows the very different window shape from Pierce or Luverne. Link to "img.photobucket.com" -- Last edit: 2006-02-22 20:50:18 |
