Looks kind of Chrysler-ish. I figure either Plymouth or Dodge from the late-1940's to early-1950's. |

Except for the grille everything matches with the 1949 De Soto DeLuxe wagon [S-13-1]. Only 850 of these were built, and it's the second on the site: /vehicle_25280-De-Soto-De-Luxe-Station-Wagon-S-13-1949.html |

This is not a 1949 DeSoto .It is a 1950 Chrysler Royal Station Wagon model C-48. 1949 DeSotos had two chrome strips behind the front wheel arch .In this case , the car has Chrysler's bright rectangular plate .The grille and hood emblem are unmistakebly 1950 Chrysler. It does not have the DeSoto head but the Chrysler spear on the hood.1949 DeSotos and Chrysler Station Wagons had an external embossed rear spare door. This was no longer the case in 1950 when the rear panel was flat. The body was all steel with tha ash wood bolted on. Later in 1950 the Chrysler Royal Station Wagon model C-48 was adverised as the Town and Country wagon.Production run of this model was 599 in 1950 |
