Not convinced by Ghibli too. Why not an Urraco |

This is actually a Fiat X1-9. The storyline was that Magnum's Ferrari was blown up, but if you freeze-frame the shot, you can see they used a Fiat instead. |

This has always been one entry that bothered me. The scene where they blow up the Ferrari. It's been labled a Maserati, but you know they didn't blow one of those up either. There is only a split-second that they show a close-up of the car before it blows up. I had to rewind and play a dozen times before I captured the one frame of that shot. What I see is two cars pieced together to stand in for the Ferrari. The back half (from the firewall back) looks like a second generation GM F-body (Camaro/Firebird). I have not figured out the front clip. This episode aired on Sept. 30, 1982, so they probably filmed it in the summer of 1982, before the 1983 model year was released. -- Last edit: 2012-01-01 07:32:34 |

It looks like a 1974-1981 Camaro body with a fiberglass built front clip attached to it to represent a Ferrari 308GTS. -- Last edit: 2011-12-01 03:11:42 |
